Moreto is an old grape variety from the Alentejo, sister to Castelão and descendent of the Sarigo x Alfrocheiro Preto cross.
Moreto produces intense ruby coloured wines, with medium concentration colour extraction.
Moreto generally produces wines with black fruit aromas with mossy notes. It is a wine from old Alentejo vineyards and has been monovarietaly recovered to better understand all its freshness and charisma.
