The recovery and subsequent use of lost or unwanted grape varieties has marked the work of winemaker António Maçanita. Combining science, history and the search for old traditions has led the winemaker to delve into unusual references. In the curriculum is the first wine bottled from the Negra Mole grape variety in the Algarve, as well as the first white wine from Talha in the Alentejo, being possible to taste unique grape varieties, such as Tinta Carvalha, Alicante Branco or Trincadeira das Pratas, being just a few examples of a strong dedication to discover more and more about Portugal. Also noteworthy is the remarkable work with wines from the Azores, first in the recovery of the grape variety Terrantez do Pico and later in the grape variety Arinto dos Açores, now paying attention to the old vines and in what can now be recognized as a true revolution of the wines of the Azores.
